2007 Dodge Durango Seat Swap

Welp, it was time to go to the junkyard today and I wanted a set of buckets for my 65 Valiant. Found a nice Durango and snatched the fronts out.

After pulling my mangled and tired old 50/50 split bench seat out that wasn't bolted down after I replaced the floor pans, this swap was really easy. No brain needed on this one guys. Two wires for the drivers seat, one hot and one ground that you can splice into the main battery line under the dash. 10 amp fuse. I hacked up a piece of angle iron, bent it about 20 degrees into a V and bolted it to the floor for the front mounting points for the seat brackets. Then laid the seats in and drilled new holes into my new floor pans, and boom. Backs bolted, front bolts to the angle iron I bent. And they look and feel great. Could use a little more support on the sides but overall, I can't complain about a cheap set of leathers. Total cost, 60 bucks, a can of black spray paint for the angle iron, five feet of wire, and a nice time with my daughters as they wrestled with the drill and the tap set. Priceless

Ps: I have a free bench seat, needs love. And a home. Pm for details
