My 69 383S FB when purchased in 1984 previously had a full vinyl top that had been removed prior to purchase. The trim was the only thing left. My fender tag is spot on to what the car is, vin and body numbers but had no code for a vinyl top. I can only assume it was installed by dealer/aftermarket. I assume it looked like this at one time but with the as is factory B7 paint and V6W sports stripe. Do not know what color the vinyl was but still have all the trim, front and back stored away in case someone was intrested in that look. My roof exhibited typical vinyl top issues on restoration and was a chore to save as well!

Your tag is just to far from correct for the car.
