Crosswind vs. RPM Intake

I will say I like the crosswinds dual bolt pattern, not sure why edelbrock wouldn't add this other than for the fact if you switch heads you'd also have to buy another one of their intakes.

I was considering a crosswinds for the engine I'm building, it's a magnum block that will have magnum eddy heads (which don't offer the LA intake bolt pattern) and I want to retain the LA timing cover and water pump.
Exactly what I was thinking when I did buy one. It also has an extra coolant hole for a sender/sensor at the rear of the intake which was nice for running a mechanical temp guage along with the factory sender as well. Came with plugs for the holes, seemed decent for the money, fit well. The ports were smaller at the head than the rpm air gap, but nothing some quick porting couldn't fix.
