EFI Fuel Pumps

So if you were going to do it over again would you go with the Aeromotive assembled unit?

i would still pick the tanksinc, assembly was easy, very easy to follow instructions. Honestly i could have picked the walbro that comes with the tanksinc setup and been fine, but i wanted the aeromotive one incase i ever wanted to run e85.

just dont forget to order a new filler neck gasket like i did, stock one was cracked.

No it doesn't come assembled just the proper openings are there. kris when I did my Cuda that tank wasn't available from Aeromotive. That's why I went with the Tanks Inc.
That's a pretty decent price, I got one from a vendor here in CA complete with the EFI pump for $975, but after I tubbed the car I couldn't use it, it's sitting in the garage.

I went with the FiTech inline frame pump (Just over $200 for the kit from Pace) with the Holley Sniper Efi. I put a 1/2 inch sending unit in and drilled the tank and installed a bulk head fitting for the return. Overall it wasnt too bad to install once I figured a place for the pump (Behind the fuel tank) The pump with prepump filter and fittings ends up being bigger than you think, and they reccomend it be installed withing 3 feet of the pick up and below the tank which is almost impossible to do. Have only run it about 500 mile and it works fine. It is loud and on some cars it wouldnt be exceptable but once mine is fired up the exhaust is all you can hear.

Im running twin bosch 044 inline pumps for my setup, pkus i bought it with the mega squirt system, as good if not better the the big names like big stuff 3, holley, but a fraction of the price. Might look into it. Heres a picture of my set up all 10an fittings, just got the hose. Also heres a test that real street did on the popular pumps.
Green: highest flow
Yellow: second highest
Orange: third highest
Red: worst

I am looking very seriously at the tanks inc setup for my car. I'm going FItech efi shortly. Going to start the system with a cheap walbro inline pump. Make sure the system actually works right and get it all sorted. Once I'm sure I like it. I'll be switching over to the tanks inc setup.

And just for anyone wondering. Holley has their own "sniper" efi tank. It's just a rebrand of tanks inc. Even the pictures on the holley site are taking right off the tanks inc site. The price sure isn't. Tanks inc complete setup, tank, sender, pump (100psi 255lph) is $467.91 from summit, before shipping. Holley is $579.95 before shipping. Something to think about.
