10" Rear Brake Problem

When I did the 10" drum brakes in my 65 Dart, I bought the "hardware kit" for a ~72 Dart at Autozone. Came w/ the newer style self-adjusters (post 2 & 3) which I prefer anyway. I had to re-use my old "shoe pins" since my shoes are a different width. A kit is for "1 axle" and PN varies w/ front & rear. Cost ~$12 ea then. Did you check rockauto? I recall they list both kits and individual parts. Not even sure most parts are Mopar-specific since the standard Bendix drum design.

Re "no factory self-adjusters", my 1996 minivan rear drums has none, just the star adjuster and locking tab. I am still on the original shoes and drums at 212,000 miles, so perhaps they knew they weren't needed and would just be tweaked every inspection. I bought new shoes and drums long ago, but every time I've checked I still have ample lining left. I recall they also are slightly different design, with each shoe individually "grounded", rather than the "floating" arrangement of the front shoe acting on the rear, so probably both shoes have the same lining length.
