Hughes heads?

The heads have great flow up past 0.800 lift but Edelbrock put a short valve in there so the installed height is too short to run a good spring. The pushrod clearance was also poorly designed and the heads are super heavy with all of the extra material on the intake side. My conclusion after working with them was that they were a great idea but poorly executed. Someone at Edelbrock just didn't take the time to make the design really great. It wouldn't take much, some longer valves, maybe relocating the rockers a little bit, a few extra minutes on the CNC hogging away unnecessary material, etc.
