Hi guys I was wondering what your opinion was on the flowmaster super 44s I have a 1970 duster with a 360 2 barrel 727 trans and have the original exhaust manifolds with stock exhaust with the exception of summits house brand mufflers it sound good but I wanted to see if these super 44s are too loud or if they sound decent? Also my buddy has a set of thrush turbos he could sell me

Although not apples to apples comparison I had them on my 416, 4-spd Dart. Yes they are prettyloud but just didn't have a nice loud sound in my opinion especially at high RPMs...sounded too raspy. I switched to the original 40 series and they are still loud but a nice loud. If you like the chambered muffler sounds also look at the Dynomax ultra flows. They don't seem to be as loud as FM.

They sound good on a big block, not so much on a small block, JMO.

I have them on my big block. Sounds mean at an idle with my cam. But very loud under throttle and a very bad drone. They will be getting switched out for a turbo muffler asap

I have them on my small block. I agree, sounds good at idle, sounds very loud and raspy at higher rpm. They drone too. I would probably go with another style muffler next time.

What ever you do, make sure you get the right hangers. I had a 360 and the drone into the car was terrible.
