Actually what i do with the moth balls is i take the boxes, and punch a bunch of holes in the box on one side w an ice pick or screw driver, and pitch the box in the car with punched hole side facing up. It makes for easy cleanup, and they dissolve slower than if you just scatter em about. I have heard of people pouring em in an old sock and setting it inside the car too.
