I joined the site probably over a week ago, forgot to introduce myself! I recently picked up a 72 Duster, original V8(318) car with manual steering and manual brakes. (at least the fronts are disc) I have loved Mopars for a long time, but couldn't get my hands on a cool Mopar car. I've daily driven an 86 Dodge Ram for the last 10yrs and I had an 87 Chevy IROC Camaro for 8. Finally got rid of the Camaro and this Duster popped up on Craigslist in my price range about 4hrs from my home. I rented a trailer and used my Dad's truck to go get her. She needs work and some sorting out, but that's why I'm here. Thank you, and have a great day!

Welcome from the Austin area!
Love the 72's! Looks like you'll be shopping for a hood scoop or a hood, and some marker lights.
The marker lights are the same from 72 Mopars to 93 Dodge trucks, you should be able to find them new.
Engine bay pics?
What rear end?

Got a scoop in, something to cover the hole someone hacked in the hood. Pics of scoop on car are just a "get a look at it" and measure to center it up. Got a plastic six pack scoop on Summit, used a heat gun and some aluminum foil to mold it a bit to the hood lines in the middle, primed, painted, wetsanded, painted again. It's not horrible looking, I'm happy with the results. I'll stick it on later today if it doesn't rain. Marker lights are on order, should be in Thurs or Fri with gaskets and nuts. Yeah I thought it was funny the front marker lights on my 86 Dodge Ram are the same. I just got it jacked up yesterday and didn't get to do much, but it appears to have the 7 1/4 rearend. My current engine bay pics aren't very good, I'll post some later.

Good luck with your Duster and I guess I'll eventually see you driving around town. You might have already seen my '69 Barracuda (see pic on the left).

Welcome to FABO! Great car you picked up!

Tell your dad he's going to have to give you his truck so you'll have a matching pair.
