why do people help make old cars look bad

I wasn't talking about people here just People in general. Mine is far from perfect and I have some ugly stuff (hidden of coarse) on mine my grandfather used to say that line every time my grandmother said beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Just thought it was funny. These discussions should be tied to the never ending story thread
