Stop in for a cup of coffee

once you drive a 3/4 ton pickup ....you will never want to go back to a 1/2 or smaller.

long time ago I had a RAM 1500 5.2 and it was nice and comfy to drive ...almost like a big car. Loaded down with my 20 foot trailer and a dart on it, the rear of the truck would sag and the steering felt more floaty. The regular P -tires even seemed to pudge out on the back of the truck.

Then later I started hauling the same trailer with a 3/4 ton ....(actually a ferd with a diesel ) even with a B-body on the trailer, the rear of the truck isn't even phased and the ride is much more "solid" feeling and seems a whole lot safer.

Odd thing is....the gas mileage is the same loaded or not.

with the polara on the trailer, I was still jamming down the highway at 65 with no strain on the truck with a 3/4 ton........no way the 1/2 performs like that
The 2005 ram 3500 Cummins I've been driving has been averaging 22.8 mph!!! It weighs on the scales empty 8400 pounds. With a 720 mile range on a single tank, I love it
