Starting a BB Duster project
I have this '72 Duster that has been sitting in my shop collecting dust for 5 years. I picked it up from a friend of mine who hit some tough times but I just never had much time to work on it. I put it up for sale on Craigslist for $4900 which I thought was a super good price but not a single offer. The car is super straight, no rust and it has a brand new Strange S60 rearend with new gears, axles and a Detroit locker. It also has new Centerlines all around, 4 wheel disc brakes and a split mono leaf Cal Trac setup.
So since it didn't sell and I didn't want to just give it away I decide to drop the 470 engine from my Car Craft articles in it. I already have a radiator, 727 trans, fuel cell, battery box and some other stuff sitting around in the shop. I'll need to buy a torque converter, driveshaft and some headers. I'll have to wire and plumb the car since it is gutted but I should be able to handle that. I'm going to shoot for the end of summer to have it down on the ground and running but I might hit a snag and it will turn into a winter project.
