what parts on a 1976 volare will work on a 1968 dart

front brake parts will work....I am running an F body set up on my Dodge Dart. Engine/transmission and all that will work. Rear end will be too wide.

Uh, mostly agree. Spindles and out will work for the brakes, you'll need ball joint adaptors or large ball joint UCA's (73+ A-body) to go with the spindles. Transmissions are the same length and use the same mounts but that Volare will have an 833 overdrive transmission in it, not a standard 833 just so you're aware. Power steering box will work, I think you'll need a different pitman arm though.

If you want to use the F-body rear axle you will need the perches moved to A-body width, the F-body perches are 44.5" center to center while the A-bodys are 43" c-c. Overall the F-body axle is just under 1.75" wider than an A-body 8 3/4 with BBP axles, meaning if you add about an inch to the wheel backspacing compared to an A-body 8 3/4 equipped with BBP axles it will work. Probably not the best idea if you want to run off the shelf 15" rims because you'll have a hard time finding off the shelf 15's with that kind of backspace, but if you're looking at going with 17 or 18" rims it would be fine. Heck for 17's or 18's it would probably be easier to find off the shelf wheels.
