Stop in for a cup of coffee

the next thing i have to do on the engine is hone out the cylinders.

i had an old timer engine builder say to be careful with this step.

he said to dip the hone in oil first. either keep squirting oil in the cylinder and you go up and down or do a few up and downs in the cylinder and take it out and dip in more oil.

either way he said to keep it oiled at any cost. this is because these cylinders are not too bad except one.

You could just spray the cylinders with brake or carb cleaner... Keep them wet as you hone...

If you spray the hone, then it will flip off when you hit the trigger on the drill and you will get a bath of oil...

If you spray the cylinder, it won't get slung off the drill as it spins... You know that centrifical force thing...
