Anybody going to MOPAR NATIONAL 2017

-
ill be there, looking for all the a bodys only people to shoot the s@#$ with.Oh maybe sell or trade the duster.

Stop by our tent in rows P and Q in spots 19 through 32. Should not be too hard to miss us under the large circus style big top tent. A wide selection of parts and materials for all of your restoration needs will be available. Even if you do not need anything, stop by and enjoy the shade of the tent while enjoying a cold water in our hospitality area. This year, we will have a 71 Sublime Road Runner and a 68 White Dart under the tent. The cars are coming out of the restoration shop of Pat Jerley out of Windber, PA. The Dart is very understated until you look inside and under the car and see the Hemi and trick suspension pieces.
Thanks,
Richard

Any tips for a 1st timer going? Looking for a few odds and ends for a 70 Swinger. Is the swap area all paved or grass, just wondering about some sort of cart to toss any parts I find in it. Thanks.

A garden wagon or something of that type will be handy for the show. If nothing else, it will allow for a cooler and a small folding chair. Even though the swap meet is smaller this year, the grounds are still huge and is hard to see everything over a Friday and a Saturday if your looking to take in the show field, drag racing and swap meet.
Not knowing which days you are attending, but as a suggestion. If you want to see the judged show cars, check them out between 12 noon and 2 PM on Friday. Otherwise, they will be hard to find on Saturday. If your intent on looking for parts, Thursday afternoon after 2:00 PM and Friday morning is the best bet. Remember that come about 3 PM on Saturday, vendors will be packing up and by Sunday, it will be really slim pickings. Even by lunch time on Sunday, the show cars are leaving and the only remaining events will be the drag racing.
If it should rain, the aisles for the swap meet turns into a muddy mess so dress accordingly. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. Last year, the weatherman kept saying rain and it never did rain until late Saturday afternoon and Sunday was a rainout.
Attend the show with an open mind and you will have a good time. Hopefully the turnout will be good for everyone as we have been attending since 87 and have seen many highs and lows.

I am going now to walk around and enjoy the show.
Buy some stuff for my 70 Dusters and my 68 Barracudas

I'm going to be looking for a couple of suregrips, a b body 4 speed trans, a pair of mono leac springs, 35spine a-body axles an a bunch of other stuff. Anybody bringing these things let me know.

I'm looking for a used 70 - 72 Plymouth Duster Six Pack Fiberglass Hood. Either a pin on or bolt on will work. Wanting to pick one up at the Mopar nationals this year. Let me know if you're selling one and will be going to the show.

Thanks!

I've been going since it was at indy,I enjoy the swap area and the non judged cars and midway vendors.keep an open mind and have fun...........By the way the Chrysler dealer in Heath has a cruise and free bbq every year on sat night, ill be there then watch the cruising from motel parking lot and drink a few wobbly pops..hope to see a bunch of you there.......................jeff

We will be there as usual, but not bringing a car this year! Taking it easy after last year, we swapped all weekend and didn't get to see anything else! And, it was hot as heck! We will be sharing 65 Dartman Dons spot and bring a few parts, but mostly just going to see and hear everything and everybody! I'll be in my fabo tee shirt as usual!!

All are welcome at the HDK sponsored tent next to the front of the staging lanes. Besides the FABO members that Co -sponsor the tent, there are always new builds to see.

The Silver Bullitt will be back along with it's race version the Silver Bullitt II.
Joe Pappas and Arnie Klan are bringing the Motown Missile (Challenger), and the Mopar Missile (Wire Car). Joe is great at detailing his work on the Missiles and the days of early Pro Stock. His stories are priceless.

Come by and visit.
Mopar to ya'

Thanks....we are just a bunch of A-body Mopar hot rodders that got tired of the mud on the "show" side so we pooled our money ($100ea) and got the tent. I let HDK cover any shortfall, so when space allows, I use it to display HDK products.

Although we started out trying to be a FABO meet /greet area, we got such little response we started inviting friends with historical Mopars to join the fun. The tent is a giant easy- up, a place to gather and have a great time. I know it takes me weeks to get the grin off my face. Reminds me of my youth when we would go to Windsor. ........

I have a nice cowl off of a 70 Duster. I'll pm you a few pictures of it tomorrow. I can bring it with me to the show if you want it.

Hey Denny, so there's still an open invite to park under your tent ? Trying to work things out with the wife, but I was thinking about bringing my '69 GTS w/ HDK front suspension ! Do you happen to have the address so I can look things up for the trip ?

you make the trip...and you, your crew and your car will be my guest(s) in the tent.

I cook a mean Brat.

let me know.
Denny

address???.....National Trail Raceway, Columbus, Ohio
The Nats | The Ultimate Mopar Enthusiast Event

Alrighty then, I'll pick me up a trailer, load up my '69 GTS and head that way ! Is there a certain entrance to come to or someone to lead us in to where the tent will be ?

Tried send you a PM with a map and detailed instructions but maybe you have PM's from members disabled?. Do this: Order a Judged Show Car entry with a $25 Tow Sticker added (that is the only kind of entry besides a RACE entry where you can add the Tow Sticker). This will let your rig go just about anywhere including to the HDK tent where we have dedicated truck and trailer parking right out back.

Enter the track off of Rt. 40 at GATE A and stay far left to get on the service road that goes to the tent. You want to be TO THE LEFT of the staging lanes.
