Looking at the specs, it looks like much better CDI unit than MSD.

Depends on how you plan to use. Limited race use might be ok, if you plan lots of miles, an inductive ignition is much more reliable. The discharge capacitor could be replaced, but sounds circuit is potted in silicone.

Using with EFI, may troublesome due to electrical noise issues. The multi-spark will make coil (-) drive tach wrong. If the unit has tach output that would be an advantage, otherwise a converter is necessary. Best to drive tach from converter that conditions distributor signal.
