Im getting ready to drop some coin on a decent set of headers and I was split between tti and dougs. After researching as much as possible I have decided on dougs just because they are a bit cheaper. I have heard a few guys complain about fitment with Eddie heads which makes no since but I wanted to double check and see what others experiences were. My car is a 73 swinger with a 360. Power steering and automatic.

All I know is that Edelbrock heads have a bunch of extra material below the exhaust ports that can interfere with stock exhaust manifolds. Easy enough to grind it off if you know where they will hit. Maybe the Doug's flanges have the same interference problem?

I HAVE DOUGS WITH EDELBROCK HEADS IN MY 65 DART WITH A 340 SOME OF THE BOLTS ARE A LITTLE HARD TO GET TORQUED DOWN BUT WHAT HEADERS AREN'T. NO GRINDING OR DIMPLING OF ANY OF THE TUBES

I can't believe there isn't someone posting with a 70+ car with the same set up.

I only posted because you asked if the Dougs headers worked with the Edelbrock heads not because of the car. Sorry to waste your time

You didnt waste my tie at all. It is the same head so the mounting of the headers to the head question you answered.

you might want to check out this thread, a buddy of mine alex is doing a build w/a 74 duster and ran into some problems with fitment on the drivers side with a power steering gear. had do go through some serious changes to get the problem solved including modifying the header and changing the power steering gear. the read starts at page 31 about the headers......here's the link
