Has anyone shortened an antenna?

Yea, I have shortened the crap out of one. :D
Seriously though, if you shorten the stock one it probably won't work as well beause of what Leadfoot said.
The length in part of the tuning, but I thought the replacement to cut and keep the factory was a good idea.
I picked up an amplified hideaway that goes inside for the car that fender went on.
