67 GTS 4-Speed: Daily Summer Driver
Over the past couple weeks as I got time I was slowly working on the deck lid GT emblem I got from a member here not to long ago. I polished it the best I could, however I do believe some of the finishes arent suppose to be shinny. I then had the mask all the non-painted areas and I sprayed the back ground black. I couldnt find a good way to mask the "D A R T" letters so I just brushed them by hand. Didnt turn out to bad.
The back panel is polished, but needs to be masked and painted that argent silver. So once that is done these two pieces can be mated and stored at my parents in the mean time. Still need to figure out if this piece only fastens to the trim piece or the deck lid itself. Also need to find out how to secure the rear trim piece to the deck lid. When I got the car the flat portion was "pinned" on via the 4 upper and lower trim pieces but I do not believe that is how its suppose to be. Its not the original deck lid so maybe some mounting holes are missing?
