Carolina Machine Engines

Really?
First I've "heard" of any problems there.
But I had heard that they are closed now.
I did call once and wasn't too impressed with the people skill of the person I talked to.
(Wasn't "Mike".)
And Google street maps didn't show much of an operation.

So, by speaking ill of the dead, what are the horror stories you know of?
It IS getting close to that time of the year.
Trick or treat.

Pistons installed backwards, head porting not done that was paid for, heads given a " quicky" shine job to make it appear metal had been moved when it wasn't.
Locals around here learned to avoid them since Chuck Senator left there years ago.
I called them out long ago, this isnt new now that they are closed. Long threads on Moparts about some of this stuff. Lots of them
A close friend of mine got shafted with the shine job. Those heads then went to a very well know Mopar only smallblock head shop, where he said they couldnt have spent 1/2 hour total on the heads. And they charged him 800 for doing nothing except try and decieve the guy
Wondered why his 12.5 to 1 408 stroker ran 11.50's best with " ported" eddies
Came back from the other shop and went 11.03 off the trailer on a 90 degree day first outing, i was there.
