Building a stroker this winter for my 73 Swinger to replace the mild 360 that's in it. Looking at a Hughes 426 stroker kit with forged crank and billet h- beam rods or a Scat kit with forged crank and forged i- beam rods. What would you guys suggest? Only waiting on rotating assembly to complete my parts for build.

426 will have a very short piston. Does that use 6.123 rods?

have you looked @BPE he is a member here.
pistons are built to your engine block > deck height, plus cam lift, head style etc.

I have 2 of his 4.250" stroker rotating assembly.
in 3 years, the only problems had > broken input shaft (727) and broke 8 3/4

Bloomersperformance.com can contact him there or here, great guy, will be going with a kit from him myself when i get to that point.

Nobody mentioned what heads. Something like an eddie head, either crank is going to make more inches than the head can support in a full on race build.
The 4 inch crank will also have a better rod ratio than the longer one

Edelbrock rpm performer heads with Hughes bigmouth porting.
