Are headers worth it for me?

I have cheap, low hanging headers. I hate them. Did I feel a HP gain? Most certainly.

Might I suggest Slip Plate or EZ slide coatings? Google it. I used EZ slide and they look great.

Already ordered the Hirsch stuff. Once someone said they had it on their car over a decade I was willing to try it lol.

Who disagrees that un-coated heads rust in 1.5 years???????

...or do they disagree that generic SBM headers can be bought at swap meets for $50-$75 bucks?

I have a set that's never been on a car (no heat cycles), and they rusted hanging in the garage.

I had them at two swap meets for $60 and no one was interested.

It's that salt water air LOL. Yeah I'm just gonna do the manifolds and keep it rolling till I do some Dougs.

TTI makes some awesome head pipes for your manifolds. 2.5 diameter, mandrel bent, and drop down to your crossmember. I have them on two cars right now.

I already have the exhaust ran to 2.25 pipes. Wouldn't that be alright?

Ok I appreciate the lookout though. Your posts on the 318 have been insightful BTW. Eventually I'm going to try and do more performance to this thing. Hidden HEI this winter is in the plan. Headers will have to wait.
