Microsoft has a offline version of Defender that you put on a CD and it runs BEFORE Windows loads therefore giving the malware no time to load. I had gotten a really nasty ransomware virus and they wanted me to by the "Green Dot" credit card and type in the numbers to get the unlock code. No way was I paying for this. You can download Defender Offline directly from Microsoft. Make sure you get the correct version (32 or 64 bit). Load it in your CD drive and make sure your startup bios is set to access the CD drive first. When you start your computer it will have a white screen for a few minutes , be patient and it will eventually find the malware and ask if you want to remove it. I hope this helps, good luck.
