It seems my restorations never end. EVERY little thing on these classic cars need to be renewed, stripped, sanded, painted, replaced, rebuilt, etc. i wonder what parts my Mopar friends have found that lasted from production date until now and are still in no need of being freshened up? Thank you.

Good luck,
Maybe the jack and lug wrench.

Wiper blade arms on my 69. Everything else needed resto! Oh and the screws that hold on the armrests, guess that makes 2.

Out West, the interiors are fried but the sheet metal has a good chance of being okay. Up East, the car is rusted to the core but the interiors seem okay still !
MY Charger was painted in 2002. It still shines nice but in all this time, I have yet to get the heater and A/C working. That is going to change. I run the risk of going the route of the "Golden Gate Bridge"....By the time I finish everything on the car, I will have to start over because the first of the changes was so long ago!

Only thing I can think of off hand that does not need some sort of restoration on the dart, are these keys I found wired up behind the front bumper..

Dash was good. Headliner had three little holes. Rear view mirror stays where I put it instead of falling down every time I hit the gas. Door strikers are good, no tearing of the sheetmetal there. Absolutely minimal crap in the places that it can build up under the car, like the tranny crossmember, or the tank straps thaat protect the dirt and stuff from washing away.

All of this leads me to believe that the 27,*** on the odometer is only maybe lying...

My door panels are good, I re-sprayed them with SEM and reinstalled them with the original fasteners.
Could have reused the sill plates but I bought re-pops and sold the originals like a fool.

Sometimes it depends on how particular you are.My Dart has a lot of original parts like glass, door handles, grill, mirrors, dash pad, bumpers, tailight lenses and bezels and so on.The parts are very presentable but by no means perfect.
At what point do you replace a nice original piece with a perfect re-production part?

Most of it needed repair, rust removal, heavy cleaning, paint , lube or complete replacement. I'm not sure there was anything on the entire car that I didn't at least clean up. Maybe a few of the chrome interior screws...lol

The glass on my car has at least a few scratches here and there, so it needs replaced.

Pull them out of the box and screw them on. My wheel opening moldings on my 66 came from 4 different cars. I got some vinyl top trim that was chromed pot metal that was good enough to install. Everything else between 2 cars, not so much. If I buy a repop part I always save the original. My right side companion mirror was a wipe off and install. The imperfect chrome matches the original remote drivers mirror. lol

On my car, every single part including all the bolts are getting restored or replaced.
I do have a mint jack I will probably throw in the trunk as-is.
