I had one of the most memorable days ever, yesterday. My...Err...friend had to work , but I went out on a bonefide Mekong River Cruise, with her family members. Not a friggin touristy tour... Think there was nine of us all together. They were cooking food on the boat to eat. Shrimp,,,, salad,,,, a whole chicken in a pot. Leme preface that by sayin that they took me to a local restaurant that morning for some genuine Viet Pho..Anyhow they're cookin this food as we go along, and I'm thinkin...I just ate 1 1/2 ago. I tell you , I think these people are stone cold..Nuts... They fed me 4 times within 7 hours, yesterday. But what a great time,,, stopping at little floating markets, orchards. They had a karaoke set up at the orchard. You pay a little money and pick fruit, Also brought out more food there. I mean.. I don't have a clue as to how these people can stay so small.. And playing cards with them, is a little odd. They deal the wrong rotation, and the game is a little nutty, but I caught on. Just an unbelievable day, with genuine nice people.. Who speak no english at all. Oh... So I get back to the room, and another friend from here shows up, and says, I'm here to take you to Dinner at my house. My wife fixed a big meal for you.. I'm like WTF????. But you can not refuse...Pics to follow...
