Can someone help me identify the red latch looking part? My driver door does not have it. The driver door is a pita. Thanks.

That latch goes on all 63-66 a-body convertibles. You should have a chrome bracket on the body that connects to the latch.

Thank you. I am missing the chrome piece(s) too. What is the name of these parts? Door latches? I cannot find any of these in the service manual.
 
I'll search tomorrow for you. I got a pair of them from my friend Don. I guess you need them better!
 
Yes, convertible parts only. These help stiffen the body so they flex so much.
