I helped someone do a 5.7 swap on an A-body 12+ years ago and it may have very well been the first A-body swap. The oil filter adapter he had did not clear the frame itself, I don't think the K-frame was the issue. TTI has a block off plate that I designed for them with O-Rings. On the 5.7L you use the block off plate then there are two pipe thread plugs on the block on the front above where the oil filter adapter bolts on that you pull out. You use the pipe thread holes to tap into the system to run a remote filter.
