I like mechanical carbs as much as the next guy but, this BS about vacuum carbs not working is unreal. So is some of the other nonsense in this thread. The idea is to build combos and parts that work together. I remember now why I avoid these kind of threads.

Every watch a VS carb on the dyno? Many times the secondaries don't open. No matter what spring.

Yes, you can make them work but why bother? I spent years making cars go faster by junking the VS carbs. That's was I was paid to do, make them faster. 99% of them were automatics and they all said the same crap. DP for sticks and strip and VS for autos and street. Not one of them ever went slower with a DP.
