Yes, you can make them work but why bother? I spent years making cars go faster by junking the VS carbs. That's was I was paid to do, make them faster. 99% of them were automatics and they all said the same crap. DP for sticks and strip and VS for autos and street. Not one of them ever went slower with a DP.
