Sad part is, you can take a stock hellcat and make it faster and faster by tinkering and tuning. A new electric vehicle is the fastest it will ever be, and only goes downhill from there as the batteries degrade.

Oddest part about a high performance electric vehicle like a Tesla is that it is praised as a vehicle that is better and a more energy efficient car. All the while they’re designed to be crazy fast. You’d think If it were really about the environment and saving our resources, they would be producing cars that have limited power and be cranking them out of the factory left and right at a more affordable price.

What’s the point of having so much power on tap? The owner will use it. Every on ramp. And rightly so - I would. It just feels like a phony when Musk blames climate change on fuels, has the ability to actually make a change, but takes energy wasting routes. It’s like they throw the blinders on America and they eat it up. It’s genius, really.
