That was what I saw a few years ago. You drove over a pit and the battery packs were switched automatically. Expensive to install all this infrastructure, and I believe all the car or truck manufacturers would have to agree on a "universal" battery pack. It was done in the past with the nearly-universal use of gasoline or diesel fuel, coming out of pumps with universal nozzles. It could be done again with batteries and recharging. But someone will have to spend a boatload of money to do it right.
