The "POST" movie

I spent lots of days and nights here in DC on set for the movie shooting of The Post. Living close to DC has perks and one is getting calls to have time period cars for movies. I was asked if they could use my 64 Barracuda, 64 Valiant convertible and 65 Valiant sedan during shooting in DC. One problem was, since they wanted to shoot dawn shots for when the Washington Post was being delivered to the news stands, they wanted us on set at 5pm so they could have correct lighting during dusk then we would stay till morning so they could shoot more at dawn. Thankfully they paid by the hour and a typical day was 5pm-8am. All of our filming was in August and we also spent 1 weekend at Katherine Grahams house in Georgetown. My wife was used as an actress on set and we (wife, son and myself) were also used as drivers during filming. Haven't seen the movie yet but I did get to see that my Barracuda is in the trailer so looks promising. Here are some pictures from shoot.
This is in front of Katherine Grahams house, my wife was used as an extra at these shoots portraying a guest going to a party. She arrived in a 61 Mercury and was escorted to the front door. . We met Jessie Plemmons and his fiance Kristen Dunst at this shoot. IMG_0199.JPG IMG_0205.JPG

I was at another shoot right before Christmas. It's about Dick Cheney's rise to power and Christian Bale plays Cheney and Amy Adams plays his wife. Here is a couple of shots of my Barracuda waiting for a guest in front of the Mayflower hotel in DC and extras milling around between shots.
