What wonderful experience today meeting a fellow Mopar enthusiasts on CL's who made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I was able to barter some cash and my radial arm saw for a brand new disk brake conversion kit with the tubular arms and a front stabilizer bar. Have you guys used the performanceonline.com kit SWBKS6274 with the control arms TCA-U6374ADC. Seems to have everything I need probably just need to get a new master cylinder. I will have disk brakes in the rear as well. Do you guys have a suggestion on a MC? Might want to go with a power disk MC over a manual MC.

I don't want to be a downer but I have to mention that I've seen reports of SOME of those tubular A arms breaking. I don't know the manufacturer, hopefully it's not the one you have there. That looks like a nice kit, sorry can't comment on your MC question. Good luck!

Oh boy!!! That's not good. I found this link from hot rod magazine that uses the similar kit from POL.

Perofrmance online has the Master Cylinder as well looks like it has gone down in price.

The kit appears to be a 73+ disk conversion using reproduced parts. Basically the same as factory for the 73+ disk cars, which is why the UCA's were included because the spindles use the large upper ball joint. The spindles, brakes, and hardware are likely the same as any of the other 73+ kits out there, it's not like there's dozens of manufacturers for those parts.

I don't think I've seen that particular set of UCA's before, but they look similar to the other non-adjustable tubular UCA's out there. It's unlikely that Performance Online is the manufacturer, so, they're also likely the same as another brand.

I haven't heard of issues with ANY tubular UCA's since CAP was making tubular UCA's and LCA's. And they went out of business at least a decade ago. And those aren't CAP made arms.

So, where are these reports coming from? Do you have links or pictures?

Don’t use the CAP word. My wallet started crying and I will have to go see my therapist again.......former CAP victim.

Sorry, same here. I had tubular LCA’s from them that cracked. I have a set of their uppers too that I replaced shortly after that for good measure, both were on my Challenger.

But yeah, since then I haven’t heard of any UCA’s failing. Qa1 bought out CAP, they totally changed their UCA design. And improved the construction of the other parts, like the tubular LCA’s they sell now.

72bluNblu thanks for clarifying. It was your post I believe, or your comments on it that I was thinking about. Again, don't want to knock the kit, don't know anything about it, just wanted to throw it out there in case it was the "unsafe" one, thanks again.

Thanks for the input I do appreciate it guys. I hope they hold up. Ill be putting them on after i finish up the rear suspension. On another note i also got this front sway bar. Not sure of the brand but the bushings are completely shot. Do they look familiar maybe hellwig or off brand?

I finally got my front end mostly together and I must say it all went smooth, thanks to this site and all the knowledge you all shared through out the years. I was shocked that I was able to use the addaco 1.125" front sway bar with the 18X9's. I thought for sure it was going to hit. So far I have good clearance all around but I think it might change once I put the vehicle back on the ground. I may need to trim the fender a little.
