I would think aluminum. They were lightening up the cars by then with aluminum parts. A feather duster or dart lite with a six pak/six barrel? Awesome! Maybe even better package with the E58.
But in the alternate timeline did the fuel crisis which ultimately helped kill muscle cars still happen? That is, after all, what birthed the dart lite and feather duster.
