well that's why I'm having it checked. Here's the thinking. I have a virgin, 1970 440 block that's in decent shape and i have this 73 block, with balanced rotating assembly and L2335 forged pistons. Original plans were copying a build from a well known member here that netted over 550 hp with heads that flowed roughly what the new trick flows do. but that required a 0 deck. So now that I have the polara and depending on the condition of the Poly 318, since the 73 block was NOT decked, I could throw a set of used, but good 906 factory heads on it and make a tad over 400 hp and put in the polara and then start over with my 440 build with the 70 block since its a virgin block. Considering body work will take me another year on the dart, this may end up being the best solution anyway. But it depends on IF the 73 block is usable. The polara, I'm just screwing down sheet metal to the floor boards and making the suspension and brakes safe to drive. then its a cruiser from there
