I just installed the door on the '69 Convertible Barracuda. I have the convertible door alignment wedges sold by Classic Industries but can't figure out where they go. The doors fits great. Do I need the wedges? If so, where do they go.

Pictures would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

If the doors are not original convertible doors you will only have dimples where the screws go. I don't think I have pictures of the location...

you dont have enough adjustment with the slots in the doors and the slots in the "A pillar"??

Thanks - both doors are '69 convertible doors with the holes drilled for the wedges. I have the wedges but just did not know where they go. I know now.

Alignment is not the issue. The doors fits great and the gaps are perfect. I just did not know where the door alignment wedge went and what they are used for. I do now.

Thanks all.

Unfortunately even if the doors fit great the body flexes so much you will, at some point, nick your beautiful paint job.

Yep, did that with the GTS once. That's why your old car has sub-frame connectors now...

I fully plan on installing the door alignment wedges - I just did not know where they went. We also installed the Hotchkis subframe connectors on the Barracuda.

Those are the ones that go on the door above the latch. I am not sure if anyone has the sliding wedge that goes on the jamb side other than finding them used.

Be sure to put up a want ad here also. someone may have a convertible that is too far gone to restore
