Sure-Grip or Not

good idea to just hold on to your money look for a complete carriers and and change out the whole assembly for a 742 or 489 housing with Sure Grip.

You do not do anything with the pinion when you change out the carrier. You just remove the carrier take the ring gear off put it on the Sure Grip. Put the Sure Grip back in, Set your backlash.
