I hate shoveling snow as well. I also have a large driveway and it faces the wrong way so I get the morning sun which starts to melt the snow or ice then it refreezes in the afternoon shade and is impossible to remove by the time we get home from work. Ive been here for almost 35 years now and after the first 5 years I bought a tractor with a snowblower. I am on my 447"th tractor as I have always looked for one that would be easier. The last 10 years I have had cabs on the tractors. I keep it inside the garage so when it snows I open the garage door and start snow removal. I dont have to pick up a shovel and I like it that way. I now have a JD 455 with a 47" blower and a heated cab. It dont get much better than a setup like this.
I have never had to get up on the roof to remove snow. Hoping that never happens. It was close last year as we had a 30" snow. Now sure what I would do if that was needed. Me and heights are not the best of friends!
