Powerglides don't have a low gear. So, most of their applications had lower than normal gears. 3.73 is areal popular Powerglide gear.

Mopar snobs don't know just how closely related the small block Mopar and Chevy are related. They share the same valve arrangement, firing order, distributor rotation and are almost exactly the same size and weight. It's hard to dispute the durability of the first generation Chevy small block. They are fine engines, just like the Mopar small block.
