If you are wanting $3000 to be the budget for the entire swap including fuel injection, buy a running Ram, Dakota, or full size van with the lowest mileage 5.9 Magnum you can find, and don't spend more than $1500 on it. Use the complete engine, parts of the fuel rail, stock injectors, and engine wiring harness. Since you don't want to cut the car at all, get a small block A904 trans and do the rebuild or jave it done, and use smaller rear axle ratio, like 3.55 for freeway cruising.
