Firing Order for a 340
..........Test firing an injected Magnum. You can't use the magnum distributor and you need a carb
Made a "quickie" carb adapter to replace the throttle body......
and tossed a carb on there
Used scattershield engine plate for the starter and an old flywhee, yup!! That's an engine stand!!
Looks rickety but "done the job!!"
Stick your finger in no1 hole, wrench the engine around and feel for compression
Then set the timing marks "where you want" the timing to be
................about an estimated 12-15* BTDC
In this case, because of the EFI manifold, the distributor had to go in to "clear" so not much choice......plug the no1 wire in wherever the rotor "fell"
Yup......ugly........but it ran!!
