Thinking about adding another trip this year , is this a good show ,swap meet to attend, the swap is the main attraction for me what do you guys think

You have any further info on this swap meet? My Daughter is in Lexington so I can do two things in 1 750 mile trip. Added bonus is the 2 grand kids there.

I was there in 2016, and there were some issues with the racing. Overflow crowd, and not enough personal/equipment to handle it. However the Promoter, did come on several Mopar sites, and appologise for the problems. Didn't go in 2017, but understand it was 200% better. Large area for the swap meet, but a little sparse with vendors. Hopefully will improve as the meet continues. I enjoy going, and am hoping to have two cars in the slant six class, this year.

I was at the Mopar Clay City event in 2017,,
good weather, racing on the track moved along smoothly,
nice turn out of classic Mopar's for the car show, and a fair amount of vendors,

additional info on the Clay City Racers Reunion is at the link below, this should be epic...

Sounds crazy but around how many swap vendors was there just a guess its about four or five hours away thanks

Keep in mind that mtn Park dragway is a fairly small venue. It’s a great show and I made the two hour drive down for it but do not expect something like Carlisle, nationals, or mopars at the strip.

With that being said I will be attending this year.

Andy, I'm pretty sure that this is the show that Bobby Rogers started after Bristol Dragway cheated him out of Mopar Southern Classic years ago. If Bobby still has anything to do with the show, I'll bet it's top notch! I've never been because it is a ways from us, so I can't say about the swap meet.

Its sounding pretty promising so far not looking for a huge show but a decent one just don't want to drive Four hours for five swap vendors and twenty cars lol everytime Bristol's show got built up they would do something dumb as usual like JD said , there's a lot of good parts and cars in east tn and western nc and sw Virginia but no where to sell

"for five swap vendors and twenty cars lol"
I did not want to comment on the number of parts vendors as I am much more into the race scene, however I can offer that it was a row, both sides of an aisle, that went the depth of the field adjacent to the strip - pit area, seems like a lot to look at...
the classic mopar car show was more than 50 cars? Again, I was glancing over to the display field. Could and probably was more than 50...

Looked like a lot going on, perhaps you can call the track-promoter a week prior to the show and see how many vendors have rented space....

Thanks for the info 68 I like the sounds of it if nothing happens and lord willing clay city is on the horizon
