Your favorite mufflers for your Magnum?
I've few different setups on various magnums right now.
'71 Scamp, 5.9 magnum: Hooker headers, 2 1/4 pipes all the way to the rear bumper and Thrush welded mufflers. Not much different than the Flowmasters that were on it previously(had one of them come loose inside and start rattling, so tried the Thrush), good sound at idle, and at WOT. Cruising noise is tolerable for me.
'98 Dakota 5.2 magnum: stock exhaust until right before the cat. Cat removed and then ran to a single in - dual out Flowmaster knockoff (that I got at the Nats last year for cheap), then had it exit right behind the rear wheels. Love the sound all around. Been on a couple 200 mile round trips in it since and the noise level is also tolerable.
'99 Dakota R/T 5.9 magnum: Mopar mid-length headers, no cats, and 2 1/5 mandrel bent pipes that exit at the corners just under the rear bumper. Have a single Magnaflow on it that is a dual in - dual out and has a crossover inside it. Definitely a different sound at idle then the other vehicles I have, but it has grown on me. Sounds good at part throttle, but I'm not quite as fond of it at WOT. Again, cruising sound level is tolerable for me.
All these will definitely be louder than any "turbo" style muffler, but everyone has a different opinion on what is too loud.
