Here is a good one. We had a Sgt killed in the Department of Corrections this week. This is how our law makers thing and it appalls me just like the gun issue. The Sgt was hit with a sucker punch and the inmate hit kicked and stomped him to death. Lets not talk about how under staffed we are...Let's not talk about the "new" way we are to respond. I am not permitted to hit an inmate. Let's take their Boots away. They have the privilege of buying Timberline boots but no more they now get the regular State issued boots. Google the PA news...this is the truth. Because a colleague of mine is killed by kicks and stomps we take the inmates boots. That will keep me safe. I cannot even hit him if he attacks me and not get in trouble. What is happening in this country scares me. Mental health is a problem and oh yes incidentally we have closed most of our State hospitals for the mentally ill down.
