1983 318 freeze plug size

while we have the engine out and apart, we figure it might be a good idea to replace the crusty looking freeze plugs.

The freeze plugs on the rear of the block look great, so we're concentrating on the sides of the block.

Looking for advice.

What size are the freeze plugs?

What method is people using to pop the old plugs out?

What are people using to seal the new freeze plugs?
