Stop in for a cup of coffee

Jeezz I drove a hot wired 383 for over a hundred miles, lost the keys. Got new key, started it and never had a problem. Replaced the points as part of a regular tune up later...
IMO Not that big a deal....For testing!! OK! If car runs then the resistor is suspect!
IF you ran a wire from the batter to the coil and bypassed the resister but didn't remove the resistor I can believe that. Hell I believe everything you say .But try removing the resistor and using the hot wire I am just saying it will burn things up .I don't know why everyone just refuses to accept the fact that the resistor on a mopar has a function
