Howdy,
just picked up a 1970 340 Duster to "hopefully" fill the hole in my heart from when I let my 1970 340 Duster drive away in 1982. Been kicking my own "@$$" every day since.
It pretty much mirrors the original one including color - Deep Burnt Orange.
Need to get it brought up to date with overhaul of suspension, brakes and everything that involves safety.
Has a 6-pack that is going to be removed and replace the 6 pack hood with stock hood - I like the "sleeper" look.
Hoping to find some good info and possibly parts on FABO.
Had to sell my 2015 Mustang GT to make room for the Duster - so far no regrets.
Happy Easter!

You will love this site. WELCOME

Cool to hear of another 1970 Duster. Their flat hoods are one of my favorites, very cool to hear yours will return.

Do you have any photos of it you can post?

is your paint code k3 .....k5 or t6 the reason I ask is I thought my duster was burnt orange but I was informed there were no dusters made with k3 or k5 only t6 which is burnt tan and my fender tag verified this . and welcome to a great site .

FK5 & FT6 are both valid paint codes for 1970 Dusters.

K3 was available on 1970 Dodge & Plymouth C-bodies, but not on others.

Did the same thing, same feelings, only a 68 fastback. Don't go to far and make it too much of a dragcar/I did .

Color is FK5 - I always called it Burnt Orange and then I recently saw it called Deep Burnt Orange
Actually Famous Bob, I am undoing some of the stuff a previous owner did for drag racing - especially removing the 6 pack & 4:30 gear
End result is hopefully pretty stock looking sleeper with a nice stance.
Attached a pic, hope it goes thru

Congrats on your Mopar return! Good looking Duster.
I did the same thing. I'd sold my '69 340 Swinger back in the early 90's during a minor financial hardship and always regretted it.
Almost 20 years later I was fairly deep in the restification of my '83 Hurst Olds when I realized what I really wanted was to have my Mopar back. I bought an unfinished '69 Dart project on eBay, sold my Hurst Olds to help finance the build and now, 9 years later, it's finally in paint.
Post more pics as you progress with your changes.

Very nice looking Duster! I'm a sucker for FK.5.

Looking forward to interacting with other folks who enjoy these beauties.
Trying to figure how to understand the info available and how to best navigate this site for parts also to see and read about what kind of work that others have done to their rides.
Any suggestions for best way to hunt down an unmolested original hood for 1970 Duster would be appreciated.
Thanks!
