Depends on what you want to do with your car. I wanted to road trip mine at a reasonable RPM and my install cruises at 70 MPH at 2300 RPM with 28" tires and 3:73/1 SG gears.
Yeah its a little money but I want to cruise RT 66 with my Notch-----------------
