comp cam 306 solid

I have not myself. However, with a set of well ported (and balanced flowing) heads, it should be very stout. IMO, run a 1.6 rocker for a .592 lift before lash and such.
Iron or aluminum headed?
I’d try for a smidge more compression.
But head flow over compression.
