This is one of the greatest Mopar (and others) events on the planet. Great fun, great crowd and you can drive your car as fast as you dare on a magnificent road course.

I've been going for years and highly recommend it, even if you go only to watch and listen to the roar of big block V8's tearing down the front straight.
 
I go to watch never raced. Me and the boy like the drags they do and the drift racing.
 
Caravaning with other Mopes from NorCal this year. Probably not going to run the track but it will be thrilling to watch. Thursday head out to Van Nuys for Spring Fling.

Special Guest : Bill Surber, Chrysler chassis engineer, Chrysler Racing Engineer and liaison to Richard Petty from 1968-1976, Chrysler Kit Car program. GM space frame, Karma, formerly Fisker. He will be around Wednesday and Thursday.
Bring your car, a gopro and a helmet.

Wednesday the day before: 2 pm- 9pm BBQ and corral of cars and drivers in the pits.

0900-0930 "Chalk Talk" for newbies, with Dan English.

1200 Lunch time Drag Racing, payout for 1,2,3, and winner of the losers. $20

The good news is that it's ready enough for Friday's cruise and most likely on Saturday for the show, it's just that I'm too lazy to make the trek from Downey to Willow Springs that early in the morning. lol

I hate to see you miss cause of that!

Why don’t you come up Wednesday afternoon or evening? I might be able to hook you up with a place to stay if your going to run the track day. A friend has a spot in a camper.

Well, it's also work too. I'm already taking another day off for MATS so I didn't want to take too many days off this month. So I'm taking the Friday before Spring Fling off and Friday before MATS weekend too. If I could take Thursday off, I'd go.

@autoxcuda So the Malibu cruise is tomorrow right? What time is the group heading out from Woodley park? I'm trying to gauge what time to leave home in order to beat traffic and get to Woodley Park.

Driving Cruise from Woodley Park to Malibu for lunch; 50+ cars. Don't miss it!!
9:30 am meet at Woodley Park
10:00 am Leave Woodley Park
Stop at the Famous Rock Store on Mulholland Drive
Cruise down Pacific Coast Highway
1:00 pm Lunch in Malibu on Pacific Coast Highway
Return to Woodley Park, Van Nuys

---Spring Fling 32 Show - Show and Shine Only, No Judging, Open Parking---
7:00 am Spring Fling entry gate open for car show and swap meeters
10:00 am Entry gate closes; Please do not arrive at 10:03 am as the rangers lock the gate at 10:00 am sharp
**All vehicles must remain parked as a park rule between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm**
1:00 pm Exit gate open
4:00 pm Show closes
